Magnet Fishing: How to Find Meteors

Did you know that you can find meteors during magnet fishing? Most people think of fishing as a way to catch fish, but there are other things that can be found while doing this. Meteors are rare and hard to find, but if you keep your eyes peeled and use some tips from this article, it will be easier to spot them!

How to find meteors:

There are a couple of ways that you can find these elusive pieces, and some tips on how to do so. One way is by using magnets with metal already attached like fishing hooks or nails for catching them in your net. This will make it easier if they’re not too rare, but if the magnet is powerful enough than there won’t be much need for anything else!

The second method involves going down into caves where the magnetic field has gotten stronger due to less space between rocks (less atmosphere) which increases chances of finding one. Some people have found themselves successful while doing this because most rock formations don’t go all the way down as far as crystals from meteorites may have gone when they landed.

Some signs of a potential meteorite are if it has a black or dark gray streak, is smooth on the outside but rough inside, and/or something that could have been from space like an asteroid.

The best way to find them without magnets is by digging through piles of rocks with your hands in places where it seems they may be buried based on the other indications! However, this will take more time so make sure you’re not just wasting hours trying to find one rock when there are tons around!

If all else fails then try using compasses – many times these minerals are magnetic because their atoms contain iron which can affect their surrounding area quite significantly- and start walking towards north as much as possible while searching!

The largest meteor found in Australia was a whopping 130kg and it’s exciting to think that there could be so much more out there waiting for us to discover!
